There is an Underfloor Heating (UFH) application for every type of floor. The market is forever expanding and new innovations are constantly on the horizon. Your final floor finish can be tiled, wood, laminate, carpet and even vinyl. Below is an indication of common UFH systems that we use for our projects.
The AmbiDeck® system truly offers the best of both worlds. It features a low-profile underfloor heating system that includes an insulation layer and allows for direct tiling. AmbiDeck® is made from a high-density XPS insulation panel that is 18 mm thick. The panel's cement-coated surface ensures rigidity and durability. It is designed with grooves for 12 mm UFH pipework, along with a radius return groove in each panel, making it versatile for various applications. Furthermore, additional channels for pipework can be easily routed or grooved into the panel.
The panel is a molded plastic design with a total depth of 20 mm. The 'castles' are arranged at 50 mm intervals, creating consistent fixing points that facilitate a quick and tidy pipework installation. This castellated system offers two key advantages over a traditional clip system: - The plastic panels serve as a separating layer, eliminating the need for an additional DPM layer. - The castles provide protection for the pipework before screeding, which is particularly beneficial if there is a delay between installation and screeding.
The AmbiTak system is a fast and adaptable solution that delivers uniform and efficient heating within a screeded floor assembly. Underfloor heating (UFH) pipework is usually secured to a laminated EPS sheet with a minimum thickness of 25 mm. Tacker staples, which are fed from a specialized tool, penetrate the laminate layer and grip the EPS insulation. These barbed staples provide a secure hold that can withstand the flexibility of the pipe. The installation process is quick and straightforward.
